I honed my craft as a writer over 20 years at the cutting edge of national newspaper journalism. More recently, I have adapted my skill set to both copy and content writing for businesses and charities.

Writing persuasive marketing and promotional materials that motivate people to take some form of action, such as make a purchase, click on a link, donate to a cause, or schedule a consultation is something I find enjoyable. It also comes naturally after two decades working as a feature writer on The Sun and the Sunday Times.

Most importantly, I’ve discovered that really listening to clients and understanding the voice they wish to convey is the crucial ingredient in any relationship where the writer becomes the bridge between a business and its customers.

To date, my clients have comprised a diverse range of charities, businesses, and education establishments. They include: Disney UK, Gillette, Greenhouse Sports, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Macat International, Naïve Coffee, Oasis Academies, Simba Sleep, UK Home Office, Waldo and Women’s Aid.
